PROS AI lead pricing for tradespeople

Quick answer

The short version, before the detail.

PROS AI charges per lead. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, no minimum spend and no credit pack to buy in advance. This page sets out how a lead is priced, what the range is in London, when the money leaves your card, and what happens when a lead is bad, so nothing on a statement is a surprise.

How is a lead priced?

Every job type has a base price. A homeowner's request is passed by text to at most three local tradespeople, and what each of them pays depends on how many received it. The fewer people share the request, the more each pays, because the job is being quoted by fewer competitors.

Who received the request What each tradesperson pays Example with a £20 base price
Three tradespeople share it The base price (P) £20 each
Two tradespeople share it 1.4 times the base price £28 each
One tradesperson, exclusive 2 times the base price £40

A request never goes to more than three tradespeople. The exclusive price is double the shared price, and in return nobody else from PROS AI is quoting for that job.

What is the price range in London?

Base prices in our three trades run from £12 to £50 depending on the job: plumbing £12 to £45, electrical £18 to £50, heating £16 to £50, with boiler installation at £50. A job type with a base price of £15 or less costs the same however many tradespeople share it. Each lead in the portal shows its own price.

PROS AI UK LTD is not VAT registered today, so no VAT is added to lead fees.

Is the first lead free?

Yes. A new tradesperson's first lead is free. After that you pay per lead.

When are lead fees charged?

Two rules decide the timing:

  1. Nothing is billable until five working days after the lead. A lead that arrived yesterday cannot be charged today.
  2. Fees that have become billable are charged to the card on your account on the 15th and on the last day of each month.

So a lead received on the 12th is not on the bill of the 15th; it becomes billable after five working days and is charged on the last day of the month. You do not pay per lead as it arrives and you do not top up a balance.

What if a lead is bad?

A bad lead, for example a wrong number or a request that is not a real job, can be disputed in the portal and is reviewed. Raise it as soon as you spot the problem.

Is there a subscription or a minimum?

No. There is no subscription and no minimum. In a month with no leads you pay nothing.

Where do you add a card?

In the portal, go to Profile settings, then Manage payments, then Add card. Debit and credit cards are both accepted. Fees are collected from that card on the two billing dates.
